Import Controls
Certain products brought into the UK are subject to controls at the point of entry. These controls are in place to protect animal and public health. In essence, food must be safe to eat, and this means all processes within the food chain, icluding animal feed, food, and food contact materials.
Our Port Health Officers carry our checks at the port to ensure all imported food and feed, and food contact materials comply with current EU and UK regulations.
